We are CLOSED for this year, our season ended March 12th. We would like to thank all of those who skated with us at Kendall Square Community Ice Skating this year and hope to see you next year! Our canoe and kayak rental location will be opening in Kendall Sq on April 20th.

There is a storm heading our way for tomorrow 3/7 but we are still planning to be open for our regular hours. This may change depending on what path the storm takes but plan for us to be open unless you hear otherwise, weather pending so stay posted on our facebook page and twitter @kendallice

THURSDAY 3/7

4:30-6pm our rink will be closed for a private event

Before 4:30pm and After 6pm skating will be open to public

Our ice is covered in almost a quarter inch of rain water and rising temps won’t allow the surface to freeze. Although it is safe to skate on, the problem is that it may not be enjoyable. So we are OPEN but you may want to consider a rain check on that outdoor ice skating today. But if your brave enough to stick it out were here but stay posted later tonight we may have to close early.

Tonight at 6pm, We welcome our friends from the East End house to come for an open skate down here at Kendall Sq. Community Skating. What an awesome organization they are! Open since 1875, they are one of the oldest social service centers in Boston’s history, using a holistic approach for supporting infants to seniors in Cambridge and the surrounding areas. The first organization in the country to be recognized as an official after school program! They rely on volunteers and a committed staff to serve families and provide opportunities for those in the community who may be less fortunate. We love to invite the East End House for free skating a few times a year. So we are open for public skating also until 8pm but will be quite crowded starting at 6pm. So all are welcome, whether your with East End House or not(Regular Public Skating Prices apply to those not with East End). What a great way to help the community by serving those who provide such a necessary and charitable service to others who need it most.

After filling our ice rink with over 2 feet of snow, we have cleared all of that off and our surface is beautiful. No rain in the forecast for today so its looking like a perfect day to come skate. The sun is still out and I can see blue skies, if you don’t make it down here in time our outdoor rink is awesome under the stars.

There is still too much snow on the rink for us to be open, WE ARE CLOSED TODAY ALL DAY 2/10 We will continue to clear the snow as fast as possible to hopefully open by Monday afternoon. Stay Posted

Due to the huge amount of snowfall from Nemo(he found us), we will not be prepared to open Sunday 2/10 at our usual time. We are hoping to be open by tomorrow afternoon depending on how fast we can clear snow from the rest of the rink.

BLIZZARD NEMO is fast approaching causing us to shut down the rink today. We are planning to be open tomorrow afternoon once the blizzard warning is lifted. We are hoping to be open at 4pm Saturday 2/9 but this could change depending on how long the storm lingers on top of us. Once again we hope to be open tomorrow at 4pm.

We are going to be CLOSED FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 8th

Depending on how fast the snow falls, and how quickly our Zamboni can clean it, will dictate when we will be opening on Saturday, Feb 9th. Plan for a possible late opening on Saturday afternoon
